Founder

Daniel M. Leibsohn is President, Executive Director and Founder of CDF and also founder of Capital Flows, a community development consulting company. Formerly, he was President, Executive Director and Founder of the Low Income Housing Fund (now, Low Income Investment Fund). Previously, he was a private consultant, Senior Associate with the San Francisco Foundation Housing Task Force, Municipal Loan Coordinator in the Housing and Development Department of the City of Berkeley, and a researcher with the League of California Cities. His Board affiliations have included the California Community Reinvestment Corporation, the Skid Row Housing Trust and the Property Management Company, the National Association of Community Development Loan Funds, the Affordable Housing Advisory Council of the Federal Home Loan Bank of San Francisco, the National Association of Affordable Housing Lenders, the Calvert Foundation, Chinatown CDC, the Tenderloin Neighborhood Development Corporation, Asian Neighborhood Design, the Local Initiatives Managed Assets Corporation, the Urban Loan and Grant Committee of the California Department of Housing and Community Development, the Northern California Association for Nonprofit Housing, the Southern California Association for Nonprofit Housing, Oak Center Homes, Inc. and the North of Market Development Corporation. He has also worked extensively with community organizations in other parts of the country and has published several articles and reports. Mr. Leibsohn graduated from the University of Michigan in Economics and received a Masters in Public Administration from Harvard University where he also studied city planning. He is a licensed real estate broker.

Staff – Community Check Cashing

Luis Humberto Diaz is the Store Manager and Financial Coach for Community Check Cashing; he has been with the organization since the CCC storefront opened in 2009. In his native country of Colombia, he attended Universidad Libre de Colombia and received a CPA degree. In Colombia, he worked in a bank and a university, performing a variety of accounting tasks and supervision of other accountants. In the U.S., he has a BA in Accounting and is continuing his accounting studies at Chabot College. Prior to his work with CDF, Mr. Diaz worked with the Hayward Unified School District, in various accounting positions with Delaware North Company and Accountemps, and with H&R Block as a Tax Professional.
